Hello, you lovely lot, I’m James Prior, 38, plasterer & social media creator with 2.1 million followers, being on social media was just a fun way to kill time at one point, now I use my platform to help create smiles, vibe & talk about the positive sides of life, mental health & all in between.
This done in the hope that it helps just one person every day.

Just be you was founded from the realisation that most of my life, from a young age I’ve lived life by the moto
“just be you”
Having grown up with anxiety & depression most of my life & needing to formulate the skill set in which to cope through my mental health battles, this moto has helped me cope through my darker days, by just helping me to push on & be myself regardless of the bad & good days.
It also aligned the ability to be the best father I can be, having five wonderful children & the challenges that brings.
It’s incredibly important for me to be able to talk to them as a father - with a very experienced open mind, the understanding of my own different needs within my mental health, helps me facilitate the further understanding of all my children & how life can be difficult at times, it also has helped me have the upmost love, patience, & respect for my oldest son's complex special needs, having cerebral palsy/ autism and adhd, he always has a smile on his face, he's a massive inspiration to not only me but many others.
Life hasn’t stopped me, the alopecia hasn’t stopped me!
My mental health hasn’t stopped me, as long as we remain true to ourselves, we are capable of anything.
Just be you!
No matter what your differences, they make you stand out, they make you individual, they make you unique.
So always remember that!
